Freedom Network USA submitted comments to the Department of Homeland Security regarding the “T” nonimmigrant status last week. These regulations determine whether survivors of human trafficking are eligible for a T Visa, which is the primary avenue of immigration relief for foriegn-born survivors. We commend the Department of State and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for issuing detailed regulations and guidance on this issue. Full comments can be access here.

We would like to thank our members Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST LA) staff and Cindy Liou (Individual Member) – as well as Stacie Jonas from Texas RioGrande Legal Aid for the technical support.
