Jordan Yakoby

Dr. Jordan Yakoby currently serves on the Board of Directors for Freedom Network USA.

Dr. Yakoby is a nurse practitioner, professor of nursing, and executive. He is currently Director and Chief Nurse Administrator at Touro University in New York City. He has taught and counseled nursing, nurse practitioner, and medical students, as well as resident physicians. By background, Dr. Yakoby is an acute care nurse practitioner with post-graduate fellowship training in neurocritical care and stroke neurology. In addition to these pursuits, he is one of a few writers nationwide for various national board certification examinations. including NCLEX-RN (nursing licensure examination) and the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certification exam. His scholarship and research foci are in the areas of neurocritical care as well as health disparities among racial-ethnic minorities. His work in studying health disparities has recently evolved into activism in the anti-sexual assault arena as a board member at New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault. He also is a panelist for the Surrogate Decision Making Committee of the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. He now expands on that work of assisting and protecting vulnerable individuals as he joins the board of Freedom Network USA.
