Aneesa Shaikh

Aneesa serves as the Policy Intern for Freedom Network USA (FNUSA).

Aneesa Shaikh is a rising second-year law student who recently graduated from Cornell University with a major in Global Development and minors in Law & Society and Arabic Culture & Language. Aneesa’s dedication to advancing social justice within historically marginalized communities is demonstrated by her involvement with a number of organizations and campaigns.

Previously, Aneesa was a legal intern at Advancing Opportunity, a partner organization of FNUSA, based in Toledo, Ohio. There, she assisted Defense Attorney Sarah Anjum in day-to-day court appearances and conducted legal research. With her diverse experiences and passion for social justice across social and cultural diversity, Aneesa hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the legal field and beyond.
